Call for book chapters

I am soliciting additional chapters for the book, contracted with 타이틀카지노 포커 Macmillan which will be published in December 2026.

The tentative title of the book is Emerging fandom of Asian media, pop culture and civil movements. We attempt to address the complexity of fandom of Asian pop culture and initiate the discussion on the role of global fandom in social movements in this book. We will elucidate the theoretical implication of changing the nature of civil movements from social and ideological to networking and affective ones. In this context, we would like to see the role of Asian media, pop culture in networking with people and in promoting affection for participants in civil movements. We interpret civil movements and activism in a broad sense. We will examine cases of civil movements in East Asia and Southeast Asia including China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Indonesia and Myanmar.
